Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold a B.Tech / B.E. degree in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognised university:

  • Civil Engineering posts: B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering posts: B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering posts: B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering

The engineering discipline must match the post applied for. Candidates appearing in the final year of their qualifying degree are not eligible — the degree must be completed before the cutoff date in the official notification.

🏆 Selection Process

APPSC AEE 2026 selection has three stages:

  1. Stage 1 – Screening Test (Qualifying): Objective MCQ-based OMR exam. Paper I: General Studies & Mental Ability (150 questions, 150 marks, 150 minutes). Paper II: Common Technical Paper for Civil & Mechanical (150 questions, 150 marks, 150 minutes). Negative marking: –1/3 mark per wrong answer. Only candidates qualifying this stage proceed to Mains.
  2. Stage 2 – Main Examination: Branch-specific technical paper (150 questions, 150 marks, 150 minutes). Civil Engineering candidates attempt the Civil paper, Mechanical the Mechanical paper, and Electrical the Electrical paper. Marks in Mains count towards final merit.
  3. Stage 3 – Interview / Oral Test: Personality test and technical assessment for Mains-shortlisted candidates. Final selection merit = Mains marks + Interview marks.

📝 How to Apply

Apply online at applications-psc.ap.gov.in before 8 May 2026. One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) on psc.ap.gov.in is mandatory.
