Educational Qualification	Qualification requirements differ by post category: AAO Generalist: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognised university with minimum 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST). AAO (Chartered Accountant): Associate / Fellow membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). AAO (Company Secretary): Associate / Fellow membership of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). AAO (Actuarial): Passed a minimum of 7 papers of the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) CT / CM series. AAO (Legal): Graduate law degree (LLB) from a recognised university with minimum 60% marks. AAO (Insurance Specialist): MBA (Insurance / Marketing / Finance) or PGDM from a recognised institute. Assistant Engineer (Civil/Electrical): B.E. / B.Tech in Civil or Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution.

🏆 Selection Process

Preliminary Examination (Online, CBT): Objective test covering Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and English. 100 marks, 60 minutes. Used as a screening test — marks not counted in final merit.
Main Examination (Online, CBT): Objective + Descriptive. Tests Reasoning, Numerical Ability, GK/Current Affairs, Insurance & Financial Market Awareness, and Professional Knowledge (for Specialist posts). One descriptive paper of 25 marks (English essay/letter) is also included.
Interview: Conducted for candidates who qualify the Mains. Assesses professional knowledge, communication skills, and suitability for officer-grade roles.
Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination: Final-stage medical fitness check at an LIC-approved medical centre.
