J&K Public Service Commission (JKPSC) handles Gazetted post recruitment. J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB) recruits for non-gazetted posts.
Generally 18–40 years for open category. SC/ST/RBA/ALC/OSC candidates get 5 years relaxation, and PH candidates get 10 years relaxation.
After the J&K Reorganization Act 2019, domicile rules apply. Candidates with J&K domicile certificate are eligible; some posts are open to all India candidates.
