Educational Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India. Candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation exam can also apply provisionally, subject to confirmation of passing before the document verification stage.

🏆 Selection Process

IBPS PO 2026 selection involves four stages. Candidates must clear each stage to advance:

  1. Preliminary Examination: An online objective test (100 questions, 100 marks, 60 minutes) with three sections. Qualifying cutoffs are applied section-wise and overall. Marks from Prelims are not counted in the final merit.
  2. Main Examination: A two-part exam — Objective (145 questions, 200 marks, 180 minutes) and Descriptive (2 questions, 25 marks, 30 minutes on Essay and Letter Writing). Final merit is based on Mains marks combined with Interview.
  3. Personality Test / Interview: 100 marks, conducted by the respective banks. Minimum qualifying marks: 40% for General/EWS (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD).
  4. Final Provisional Allotment: Based on combined Mains + Interview score (80:20 ratio) and candidate bank/location preferences. Allotment is made through IBPS.
